A Japanese startup has developed a high-performance artificial soil that can create fertile growing conditions in just one month instead of three years, with potential applications for farming on a future lunar base, A Tokyo biotech startup is pioneering the use of microalgae-based biofuel as a green substitute for diesel in trains and aircraft, without requiring any major changes to existing engines, A Japanese shochu distillery is converting fermentation waste from sweet potato liquor production into biogas electricity, generating enough power annually to supply over 2,000 households as part of its goal to achieve zero emissions by 2030.
