Japanese tech giant Softbank has developed an AI-powered smart farming system that monitors soil conditions and optimizes irrigation timing, boosting potato harvests by up to 50 percent across 500 locations in Japan and beyond, A Japanese paper manufacturer is tackling climate change by mass-producing fast-growing elite trees that absorb CO2 up to 50 percent faster than conventional cedar and cypress, offering a new tool for forest businesses to strengthen their decarbonization efforts, Researchers at a Japanese university are developing a 3D food printer that can produce customized soft meals for the elderly in just five minutes, offering a potential solution to both the nutritional needs of aging populations and the growing shortage of nursing care workers.
