A Japanese NPO is preserving the country’s ancient regional food traditions through a series of picture books that celebrate unique and disappearing local delicacies, Japanese researchers have developed a groundbreaking recycling method that extracts rare earth metals from used electronics ten times more efficiently and five times more cheaply than existing techniques, A Japanese forestry organization has found a way to ferment timber from trees such as cedar and cherry into unique spirits, offering a sustainable and ethical alternative to conventional alcoholic drinks.
